Avengers Membership
The Avengers are Marvel Earth's
premiere super crime fighting organization. Unlike the X-Men or
the Fantastic Four, the Avengers' roster was ever growing and
changing. Nearly every "name" superhero in the country
has been a member at one time or another.
Disadvantages
Social Stigma (Mutant) -10 points
Mutants are often seen by the general
populace of Marvel earth as a dangerous menace to mankind, and the
actions of groups such
as The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants do little to dispel such notions.
Known mutants receive a -2 reaction penalty from normal people,
but gain a +2 bonus from other mutants.
New Skills
Improvised Weaponry (Physical/Easy) Defaults
to DX-4, or other appropriate Weapon Skill-2
This is the skill of using everyday,
ordinary objects, such as chairs, bottles, lampposts and city
buses as weapons. These weapons typically inflict sw+2 damage.
Most improvised weapons will not last beyond one good impact in
battle. They will take as much damage as they deliever, and this
often results in shattering the object.
Quick Change (Physical/Easy) Defaults
to DX-4
This is the ability to rapidly switch
from one set of clothes into another. It is most often used
by runway models, stage actors, and, of course,
superheroes. Without
this skill, it takes 1 minute to change a set of clothes (30 seconds
if you are wearing one set of clothes over another). With a successful
skill check, you can reduce this time by half, and on a critical
success, you only take one-fourth the time!
Failing the skill check just means
you take the normal time, but critically failing means you must
add an additional 30 seconds to the time it takes for you to change,
as you untangle yourself from the knot of clothes you've gotten
yourself into.
