     At the time of his death, Zemo was one of the Avengers most persistant foes.  He had assembled a group of villians (the "Masters of Evil") and attacked the Avengers no less than 5 seperate times from the moment of his re-emergence in Avengers #6 to his death in Avengers #15.  
     In addition to his super-powered team-mates, Zemo had in his employ a small personal army in his rainforest lair, made up at first of the South American natives (who worshipped him as a god), and then later a group of mercenary soldiers when the natives proved too unreliable for Zemo.
